Stonebwoy inspired my music career  - David Oscar says after Hamburg show*

In what he described as an encounter of a lifetime, reggae artiste, David Oscar Dogbe has stated that Stonebwoy inspired his music career.


The creative artiste who started as a comedian made this revelation after he bumped into the dancehall sensation at his just ended Up and Running Tour in Hamburg, Germany.


He made this remark in the latest episode of his 'Travel Diaries' series, which sought to explore the sights and culture of popular German city, Hamburg.


The video began with a brief historical insight to the edifice from World War II era which happened to be the same venue for Stonebwoy's show.


The visibly excited David Oscar is seen engaging fans of the dancehall icon prior to the event.


"You are a huge inspiration to my music career, and you showed me which direction to take. I thank you so much.." he is heard saying during a tete a tete with Stonebwoy.

The massive following of Stonebwoy was not limited to  Ghanaians living in the town but Germans from other cities.


"I travelled 600 km just to enjoy music from Stonebwoy," a fan said.


Ghanaian residents of Hamburg and neighbouring cities attended the show in mass to support Stonebwoy and Ghana music.


David Oscar started his journey in the creative industry as a standup comedian on the defunct Viasat1 TV channel.


He is credited with a new wave of comedy after legendary KSM via his own creation that became corporate comedy series


This comedy movement uncovered the likes of Augustine Dennis, Jacinta, Foster Romanus, id James Brown, DKB among others.


He switched to full time music in 2016


He has since collaborated with industry heavy weights like Shasha Marley, Afriyie Wutah and Epixode.
